Prospect Watch: C Yasmani Grandal did not play as he is flying to Seattle to join the Padres. CF Cameron Maybin continued his rehab playing in his third game, all in center field. Maybin had his -first extra base hit in over a month, while also easily making every play hit towards center… Story of the game was LHP Robbie Erlin who carried a no-hit bid into the sixth. After two back to back disappointing road starts, Erlin returned home to great results. He kept the ball low in the zone all game yielding seven ground outs compared to only two fly outs… T-Pads faced two former Padre farmhands in Andrew Werner and Mike Ekstrom. Werner was tagged with the loss going 7 IP, 9 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 1 K.

Northwest Arkansas Naturals 1 - San Antonio Missions 2
Key Statistics RHP Keyvius Sampson 7 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 9 K; RF Reymond Fuentes 1-3, HR (4), 2 RS, RBI, BB, SB (20).
Prospect Watch: Reymond Fuentes’ ninth inning two out stolen base, followed by a single by Johan Limonta gave the Missions’ a walk off win. The 22-year-old outfielder homered earlier in the game and now has a stellar line of .315/.404/.462 with 20 stolen bases… After hitting seven homeruns in his first 11 games, Kalian Sams has now gone homerun-less in his last seven games… RHP Keyvius Sampson had not pitched into the seventh all year before today’s dominating performance. After averaging a walk an inning, in AAA, Sampson has walked two or fewer in his past five starts.

Lake Elsinore Storm 6 – High Desert Mavericks 7 (11 innings)
Key Statistics CF Travis Jankowski 2-6, RS, RBI, 2 SB (28); 3B Duanel Jones 2-4, 2B, RS, RBI, BB, 2 E (16); C Jeremy Rodriguez 2-5, 2 2B, RS, 2 RBI; RHP Matt Lollis (L, 2-4) 0.1 IP H 2R ER K HR.
Prospect Watch: CF Travis Jankowski’s stolen base and run scored in the eleventh, gave the Storm a 6-5 lead. Jankowski now leads the Cal League in stolen bases with 28. RHP Cody Hebner had a good week. The 22-year-old flamethrower has thrown 6.1 innings of scoreless ball allowing only three hits while striking out 10...with a 6-5 lead big Matt Lollis took the loss on a game winning two-run home run by High Desert in the bottom of the eleventh after the first batter got on after an error by Jankowski in center field.

Bowling Green Hot Rods 4 – Fort Wayne TinCaps 5
Key Statistics LHP Max Fried 4 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 3 K; LF Alberth Marinez 2-4, 3B, RS, RBI; DH Jeremy Baltz 4-4, 2B, RS; RF Brian Adams 3-4, 2B, RBI.
Prospect Watch: Five different TinCaps had multi-hit games as Fort Wayne had constant pressure in every inning and hung on for a 5-4 win. After starting the month off slowly, Jeremy Baltz has now hit safely in eight of his past ten games. While Baltz is hitting over .300 over his last two weeks, he has not walked since the first few days of May… LHP Max Fried tied for his shortest outing of the year by only going four innings. He also recorded the fewest number of strikeouts (3) in a start. The Encino native still had more groundouts then flyouts but his ratio (5:3) is normally closer to 3:1.
