Prospect Watch: Robbie Erlin could never get his feet on the ground as he had one of the shortest outings of the year. He started the first inning off allowing the first three runners to reach base before two sacrifice flys gave Omaha an early lead. The second wasn't much better with two more hitters reaching base early. Just when it looked like he was settling down, Former Padre Xavier Nady hit a towering blast giving Omaha a 4-2 lead.

Prospect Watch: Jeudy Valdez was a home run shy of the cycle as he sparked the Missions to three unanswered runs in their win. The Dominican shortstop had been in a 1-21 slump prior to the three-hit game. After a breakout campaign in 2011, Valdez has struggled to find consistency in AA. This year he has managed to make more contact, strikeout numbers down 15%, and his walk numbers are up, averaging a walk every four games as opposed to six, but his batting average is still low at .223.

Prospect Watch: Max Fried struggled early allowing a two out RBI single in the first, and a two-run home run in the second. He settled down retiring 13 of the final 15 hitters he faced, but unfortunately the damage was done and the TInCaps couldn't recover. Maxx Tissenbaum hit his first home run in nearly a year with a solo home run in the third.
