Prospect Watch: Tough second inning for Matt Andriese. Andriese loaded the bases with one out on groundball singles. Andriese got his groundball that should have ended the inning, but an error by second baseman Adam Buscini gave the Hooks their first run. After a pop up the flood gates opened thanks to another error. In all six runs were scored. Andriese never seemed to regain his composure as he picked his first loss of the year.

Prospect Watch: After spending most of the last two weeks talking about how great 2B Cory Spangenberg has been doing… the tide turned quickly. Spangenberg went 0-5 tonight with 4 strikeouts, and is now 2 for his last 18… With Austin Hedges still on the DL Robert Kral has been making the most of his time playing every day. The 24 year old catching prospect is now leading the team in HR (8), BA (.342), OBP (.464), and SLG (.759). He is also one behind Jankowski in both walks (18) and runs (22).

Prospect Watch: Last outing Max Fried and company tossed a no-hitter. This time they had to settle for a shutout win against first place Bowling Green. Fried now has a 14 inning scoreless streak and in the process has lowered his ERA to 2.35. Fried also leads the TinCaps in strikeouts with 35… Speaking of scoreless streaks Roman Madrid has now gone 17.2 innings to start the season without allowing an earned run. Madrid collected his seventh save to go along with a 4-0 record... The difference in the game came in the sixth when power hitting third baseman Gabriel Quintana laid down an unexpected bunt for a single. Baltz then came up and crushed a ball to left to give the TinCaps a 2-0 lead they would never give up.
