T-Pads 9 - Salt Lake City Bees 3
Key Statistics: 2B Anna 3-4, 2 RBIs; DH Buck 3-5, 2B, RBI; 1B Darnell 2-5, RBI; LF Allen 2-4, 2 RBI, SS Petit 2-4, 2B, RBI; CF J. Decker 1-3, 2 BBs; RHP Jorge Reyes (W) 3.2 IP H K.
Prospect Watch: When a spot opens on the forty man roster for a pitcher look at Reyes as having a good opportunity of getting it. His velocity has increased since moving to the bullpen and he certainly has the arsenal to pitch at the next level. His ERA is 1.80 in the PCL which is very good...tonight was musical chairs defensively for the T-Pads with Jaff Decker in center, Dan Robertson in right and James Darnell at first...although he doesn’t get as much attention as others its hard to argue that Dean Anna may be the system’s best middle infielderso far this year. The “Dean of Swing” is now hitting .330/.385/.580 and is a defensive option anywhere on the field except on the mound. It’s not bad for a twenty-sixth round pick out of Ball State in 2008.

Missions 3 - Corpus Christi Hooks 2
Key Statistics: CF Noel 1-4, 2B, SB (19); LF Williams 1-3, BB, SB (6); DH C. Decker 1-4 HR (2) 3 RBI; 2B Valdez 2-3, 3B; RHP Andriese (W) 5.0 IP 3 H 2R ER 2Ks.
Prospect Watch: Andriese got his fourth win in eleven starts as the opposition is hitting .190 against him. He is especially tough at the Wolff with a 0.43 ERA. Keep an eye on him, on 31 strikeouts in 31 innings against seven walks is good... Cody Decker returned to the Wolff and made a typical Cody Decker dramatic entrance with a three-run homer to left field. So far in his 28 plate appearances Cody has had three hits and two of them have left the park...After a brutal April Rico Noel looks like he may be starting to turn it around at the plate. As a right-handed hitter he has a .286 batting average...RHP Josh Geer, one of the better people in the system, has quietly been making his way back as a middle reliever has a nice outing throwing two scoreless innings tonight.

Inland Empire 66ers 6 - Storm 2
Key Statistics: RF Yeison Ascencio 2-4; LF Gaedele 1-2, HR (4), RBI, BB; RHP Jackson (L) 5.0 IP 7 H 6 R 6 ER 2 BB 4 Ks HR.
Prospect Watch: Quite a few of us thought the Storm might be the best team in the organization this year but they are off to a slow start with their twentieth loss of the season. After Matt Wisler and James Needy the starting pitching just has not been very good with Colin Rea, Brandon Alger and tonight’s starter Matt Jackson all have ERAs over five...1B Lee Orr and DH/C Robert Kral have supplied all the power this year with no other regular having a slugging percentage above .500....Orr, who has been a real bright spot for the Storm this year had an especially tough game going 0-4 and grounding into a pair of double plays.
Peoria Chiefs 5 - TinCaps 1
Key Statistics: C Phillips 1-3, 2B, BB; LF Baltz 1-3, BB; 3B Quintana 2-4, HR (3), RBI; RHP Eflin (L) 5.0 IP 4 H 3 R 2 ER 3 BBs, 2 Ks.
Prospect Watch: Eflin took the loss and while he’s been struggling has not been overmatched. His biggest problem is commanding his fastball with a 14/11 K/BB ratio in 21.1 innings pitched...Phillips, a second round pick out of Oklahoma City College last year is having a much better year than he did last year in Eugene, with a slash line of .327/.397/.582.
