With everyone else off watching the All-Star Game the Missions were the only team in action.

San Antonio Missions 7 - NW Arkansas Naturals 8

Missions fall in walk off fashion 7-6.

San Antonio jumped out to a 5-0 lead early thanks to some good hitting and a two-run home run by big Nate Freiman. Midway through the sixth it was 7-1 Missions. Then it all came down. The Naturals scored five runs off of three different relievers in the sixth to climb within one.

Thanks to brilliant pitching by former catcher Robert Lara (2 IP, 0 H, 1 BB, 2 K) the bleeding was "only" five runs, and the Missions kept the lead going into the ninth. Then Ryan Kelly came in to nail down the save.

Kelly would allow single, single, before getting a K then being replaced. Michael Broadway would come in and proceed to walk the 1st batter to load the bases. The next and final batter would hit a fly ball to medium depth center field. Rymer Liriano (0-4, 4 K) caught it and threw a bullet...that no one could catch.

Not only did the game tying run score but the game winning run as well. Walk-off win on a sacrifice fly and error.
